About the music of Adaptory

Created by New-Zealand-based composer Sai Natarajan, the Adaptory soundtrack decorates the passage of time within the game world, imbuing it with a sense of warmth, cosiness, and "playful curiosity."

The influences behind the soundtrack are rich and varied – drawing inspiration from the soundtracks of Satisfactory and Rimworld, but also from the musical textures found in Yann van der Cruyssen's Stray soundtrack, C418's Minecraft Volume Beta, and Ben Prunty's work on Subnautica: Below Zero.

The game's musical identity is built on catchy melodies, looping patterns, and a variety of organic percussion elements weaving through the electronic/synthetic sounds typically associated with the 'sci-fi' genre. In game, the music also responds to the day/night cycle!
